NYC

This past weekend I went to NYC to celebrate my roommates birthday.  Every time I go there it amazes me how different NYC is from where I live.  The city is always bustling with people from all walks of life and from all over the country, or the world for that matter.  The energy is so high and there is so much going on.  The opportunities feel endless in the city.  I do not think I would ever want to live in NYC but it is very nice to visit. Coming back home to my apt in CT made me feel like my life is so boring.  Haha I love my life but the city is night and day compared to my life.

Something that boggles my mind every time I am in the city is how people are able to drive through the city with ease.  City driving is ooc (out of control)!!!!  Taxis zooming in and out and everyone else just going along like they all have been doing this for years.  My friend Ryan drove through the city and I was like are you nervous at all driving and he replied nope!  I swear these people must go to a special driving school or something haha.

While in the city we went out for sushi which let me tell you was sooooo good...and then went to a cool bar called Joshua Tree where they play old 80s 90s songs, soo fun!!  We were also out until 4am and people were still going strong, city that never sleeps.  It was good to know someone who lives in the city (one of Ryan's friends) because we were able to spend the night.  Sunday we got up and went to the upper west side and had breakfast.  Sooo good, I had a spinach and goat cheese omelet and a coffee.  Amazing!!!  We then went for a walk through Central Park which is such a beautiful place.  It is crazy to think that smack dab in the middle of the huge city with tall buildings encasing it is this beautiful huge peaceful park.  People running, biking, playing, strolling, etc.  When we were almost done with our walk we saw the most interesting thing....people playing quidditch in the park.  Yes quidditch (the game from Harry Potter) and yes they did have brooms in between their legs....no flying but they had their brooms.  It was very interesting to say the least, there was even a kids game going on and one kid had on a cloak.  Def something you wouldn't see everywhere but it was fun to watch!!

I really wanted to have a celebrity sighting while in NYC but didnt happen :/ they hid well.
